The Burning Continent, Book 2 of The European War, releases July 23.

I picked that date on purpose. July 23, 1942 is the day my two series, the Pacific and the European, converge at El Alamein. Releasing Book 2 on that anniversary is my way of pointing at where all of this is heading.

When The Unnecessary War closed, the fight for Europe was only beginning. The Burning Continent is where it catches fire: the fall of France, the turn against the Soviet Union, and a continent remade faster than anyone believed possible. Churchill holds the line with almost nothing behind him, and the decisions made in these months set the board for everything still to come.

To everyone who read The Unnecessary War, left a review, or sent me a note: thank you. I read every email that comes in, and I answer all of them. Your catches, your questions, and your encouragement make these books better. You are the reason Book 2 exists.
